Service between the two largest cities of the Pacific Northwest on the eve of Amtrak still appears to be largely in good shape with three round-trips per day. Even so, it looks as if cutbacks were continuing; apparently Union Pacific had recently pulled the last real dining car on the route...Burlington Northern still shows it in their services table, but it looks as if they just added a blurb announcing the service downgrade rather than go to the trouble of revising their table.
