The "Train of the Goddesses" and the "Train of the Gods" had served well on this route for the duration of World War II. After the war, though, Burlington felt the need to modernize its equipment on this flagship run to keep up with the competition. Following the success of the first prototype Vista-Dome car, Silver Dome, which was converted by the Burlington and then test-operated on this run, C. B. & Q. opted to equip the new Twin Zephyrs with new production Vista-Domes throughout.

See a brochure for the new Vista-Dome Twin Zephyrs at Streamliner Memories.
