TRANS-EUROPE EXPRESS SERVICES
Trans-Europe Express (T.E.E.) trains give fast day services by luxury diesel or electric train between important European cities. Passengers by Trans-Europe Express trains must hold first class travel tickets and pay a special supplement, varying with the distance travelled. This supplement includes the provision of a reserved seat. Prior reservation is obligatory for travel by T.E.E. trains, and a special teleprinter network exists between the principal cities served by T.E.E. trains to facilitate onward or return reservations.

TYPES OF T.E.E. TRAINS
B—German Federal Railways Rheingold-type electric-hauled T.E.E. train, 6 or 7 cars, 204 or 252 seats in compartments and open saloons. Meals served in separate 48-seat restaurant, catering by D. S. G. company. "Rheingold" and "Rheinpfeil" include vista-dome and bar. Fully air-conditioned.

(The Rheingold and Rheinpfeil are both "Type B" T. E. E. trains.)
